Professor and Researcher Ana Simaens, from Iscte Business School, has been appointed Guardian of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), an international network of business schools, including Iscte Business School, aiming to “catalyse the development of globally responsible leadership and practice in organisations and society worldwide“.

Iscte Business School was the first Portuguese Business School to be part of the largest community of companies and educational institutions that operates with a focus exclusively on the development of a new generation of globally responsible leaders, the GRLI - Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative.

The GRLI Initiative challenges its members to reflect on their mission and to tackle business and educational problems for the 21st century, as well as the processes of cultural change in organizations. By becoming a member of this community, Iscte Business School has joined business schools and renowned companies such as Louvain School of Management, Euromed Management, University of St. Gallen or ESSEC Business School and organizations like GlaxoSmithKline, Petrobras or Standard Bank. Joining the GRLI has supported Iscte Business School in its continuous efforts to fulfill the mission of contributing to the development of management knowledge and practices, as well as preparing and developing managers and leaders with the ability to create a positive impact in organizations and in society, in today's globalized world.
