In terms of the overall ranking, Iscte has improved its position and is now in the top of the 300 best universities in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. This year 1,115 higher education institutes from all over around the world participated, 349 more than the previous year. Each institute chooses the SDGs in which it wants to participate, at least 4 SDGs, one of them must be the SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals

Iscte stood out in the Responsible Consumption and Production SDG, ranking 63^rd in a total of 503 institutes that participated in this SDG. This year, Iscte entered to the top 200 of the best universities in the world for more goals: No Poverty (101-200), Gender Equality (101-200), Sustainable Cities and Communities (101-200), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (101-200), Quality Education (101-200), Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (101-200).

Iscte's participation in this ranking is part of the consolidation and expansion of Iscte's sustainable development strategy. Last year, the first sustainability report was published and the People (social) and Prosperity (economic) dimensions were developed, in addition to continuing work on the Planet (environmental) dimension.
