According to the Quacquarelli Symonds-prepared QS Business Masters Rankings 2023, Iscte Business School's Masters in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Management of Services and Technology are among the top in the world. The School's Dean, Maria João Cortinhal, claims that the school's inclusion in all of the rankings "illustrates the quality of the training offer and the excellence in preparing students for the job market."
The QS Business Master Rankings, produced by the reputed British consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), identify the top master's programs in the fields of management. Iscte Business School (IBS) is the only Portuguese business school to be listed in the five rankings. The Masters in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Management of Services and Technology programs offered by the Iscte Business School are among the almost 500 programs from more than 40 countries that have been ranked.
The Master in Supply Chain Management stands out (51st) among the top 100 programs worldwide in its relevant categories, scoring 26.1 and 20.6 points for employability and cost-benefit ratio, respectively. Also take note of the Master in Management, which ranks among the top 140 programs internationally and has a cost-benefit score of 64.4 and a 34.4 employability score.
The Master in Business Analytics (101st rank) scores 26.4 and 24.2 points in employability and cost-effectiveness, respectively. The Master in Finance (151st) measures cost-effectiveness with 35.6 points and employability with 30.1 points. The employability and cost-effectiveness indexes for the Master in Marketing, which is in 101st place, are 30.7 and 23.5 points, respectively.
According to Maria João Cortinhal, the School's Dean, "The presence of Iscte Business School masters in all the rankings that identify the best masters in the world in the areas of management illustrates the quality of the training offer, the significance of the research produced, and the excellence in the preparation of students for the job market." The Dean continues, "These rankings are restricted, and we were able to finish the five lists, demonstrating that we provide students and businesses with training that meets the demands of a continuously evolving employment market."
According to five main criteria—employability, positions held by former students, diversity among students and faculty, thought leadership (academic reputation, scientific productivity, among other things), and value for money (cost of the master's degree, salary of graduates, among other things—the QS Business Masters Rankings 2023 assess the best masters programs in the world. The firm Quacquarelli Symonds also takes into account the viewpoint of more than 61,800 companies internationally, 48,300 professors, and 27,800 alumni in addition to data gathered through universities.
