Iscte Business School (IBS) was once again distinguished as one of the best business schools in Europe. “The excellent results achieved demonstrate our capacity for development and innovation, consolidating the international reputation of IBS”, says Maria João Cortinhal, Dean of the School. Iscte Business School registers the biggest rise among the five Portuguese universities in the ranking.
Iscte Business School (IBS) is among the 95 best business schools in Europe, according to the “Financial Times European Business Schools Ranking 2022”. With a rise of 10 positions, Iscte Business School now occupies the 67th place, being the Portuguese institution that rose the most in the ranking.
According to Maria João Cortinhal, the school's dean, "The rise of ten positions represents our dedication to students, teachers, and partners, cementing the international reputation of Iscte Business School as a reference School for anyone seeking exceptional education." The director continues, "The results obtained show our ability for innovation and motivate us to continue developing a first-rate education program and making investments in the caliber of the faculty members.
The "Financial Times ranking of European business schools" creates a ranking based on the combined performance of the major European schools at the level of MBA, Executive MBA, Master in Management (MiM), and executive education programs. Evaluation criteria include, among other topics, the salary increase after graduation, the current salary of alumni, and the percentage of female faculty who are international and have a PhD.
In addition to Iscte Business School, other notable Portuguese institutions in this list were University of Porto - FEP | PBS, Nova School of Business and Economics, Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, and ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management.
