Professor Renato Pereira wins CIM Best Paper Award 2019
The Creativity and Innovation Management (CIM) 2019 Best Paper Award goes to Dirk De Clercq and Renato Pereira for their paper “Resilient employees are creative employees, when the workplace forces them to be”.
Professor Renato Pereira wins CIM Best Paper Award 2019
The paper considers the connection between employee resilience and disruptive creative behavior, as well as how this connection might be invigorated by resource draining work conditions that stem from excessive workloads and unfavorable decision‐making processes.
The jury, consisting of the CIM editors and editorial board, considered that the paper offers an intriguing perspective on adverse organizational environments, and finds that such environments can actually energize useful disruptive innovation by individuals who are high on resilience. Albeit counterintuitive, the proposed theoretical model is clear, compelling and strongly supported by the survey-based evidence presented in the paper.
The award will be handed over at the CINet Conference<http://www.continuous-innovation.net/events/conferences/2020.html#0> which will be held from 20-22 September 2020 in Milan, Italy.
