Inaugural Meeting of Iscte Business School’s New Advisory Board

The first meeting of the new Advisory Board of Iscte Business School was held today, during the afternoon. Due to the current pandemic context, it took place online, and counted with the participation of the Advisory Board members and the board of directors of Iscte Business School.

The Advisory Board has the goal of providing strategic advice to the School, by gathering the perspectives and knowledge of its members with a broad experience in different sectors and reputed institutions: Alana Muller (Networking Speaker, Coach & Consultant, Author, Blogger, Facilitator at Coffee Lunch Coffee), Allan Katz (Distinguished Professor in Residence in William Jewell College and former US ambassador to Portugal), Fabrice Segui (CEO of BNP Paribas Portugal), Gabriela Figueiredo Dias (Chairperson - Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários - CMVM), Helen Duphorn (Country Retail Manager & Sustainability Officer of IKEA Portugal), Miguel Pina Martins (CEO of Science4You), Nathalie Ballan (CEO of Sair da Casca), Sanjay Sharma (Dean of Grossman Business School – Vermont), Song Chen (Deputy Dean of Tongji School of Economics and Management), Xavier Castaner (President of IFSAM, Vice President of EURAM, full Professor at HEC Lausanne) and Zoe Radnor (Vice-President of City, University of London).

The inaugural meeting, with a presence of a guest, Full Professor at Iscte Business School and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EDP Renewables, António Gomes Mota, welcomed the new Advisory Board, introduced them to the strategy of Iscte Business School and ended with a discussion on the future of the School. By developing an understanding of the present context, identifying opportunities and providing recommendations, the Advisory Board has a valuable contribution towards the implementation of Iscte Business School’s vision.

The next meeting will be scheduled soon and will include the contributions of other stakeholders of Iscte Business School.
