Project Seed Promotes Financial Literacy in Schools with the support of ISCTE Business School
PROJECT SEED

The pilot project SEED - Awareness for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, promoted by the Department of Employment, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise of the Municipality of Lisbon (Câmara Municipal de Lisboa – CML) has as one of its objectives the promotion of financial literacy sessions in schools for students of the 3rd cycle of basic education and high school education. As part of this project, the CML on May 16, 2023 accompanied the students of the 11th grade economics class of Padre António Vieira Secondary School to Iscte.

The meeting was born from CML's challenge to Iscte Business School, and to other six Lisbon schools, to organize these kind of awareness activities with their students.

For this activity, the school had the support of the student club ITIC - Iscte Trading & Investment Club, in particular students João Miguel Matos, Kelvin Vassaramo and Rodrigo Gouveia, along with Professors Ana Simaens and Luciana Barbosa who embraced this project and engaged the Iscte Business School community.

The theme of this session was family budgeting and savings. During the session the students also got to know a little more about the campus and the opportunities that Iscte Business School has to offer.
