Jerónimo Martins, one of the largest retail distributors in Portugal, has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Trainee Programme, aimed at young recent master's graduates who wish to start a career with one of the biggest food distribution groups in Europe. With operations in countries like Portugal, Poland and Colombia, the group owns iconic brands such as Pingo Doce, Recheio and Biedronka.
The programme aims to attract young talent, offering them an immersive experience that combines training in various business areas with leadership development skills. During the 2-year programme, trainees will have the opportunity to work in different departments, gain insight into the retail sector's inner workings, and participate in projects with global impact within the group.
According to Jerónimo Martins, the 2025 Trainee Programme seeks to shape the next generation of company leaders. Selected candidates will receive personalized support through mentoring with senior executives, as well as regular technical and behavioral training sessions. Additionally, the programme includes international experiences, offering a broad perspective of the group's global operations.
Requirements include completing a master’s degree in areas such as Management, Economics, Engineering, or related fields, as well as fluency in English. Jerónimo Martins values candidates with a spirit of innovation, a passion for challenges, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic retail sector.
Applications are open between September and October 2024, and the selection process will include several phases, such as online tests, interviews, and group dynamics.
