SEED Project: Iscte Business School and Lisbon City Council Renew Partnership for 2024/2025

The partnership between Iscte Business School and Lisbon City Council (CML) under the SEED project has been renewed for another academic year.

The project aims to promote literacy and empower citizens, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Innovation among younger age groups (9th to 12th grade). The partnership with Iscte Business School is centred on financial literacy sessions.

In November 2024, the financial literacy sessions for the 2024/2025 academic year of the SEED Project kicked off. Students from various schools in Lisbon visited Iscte to learn about the opportunities the institution offers and explore topics such as household budgeting, taxes, savings, and inflation. Since the project's inception in 2023/2024, these sessions have impacted over 700 high school students in Lisbon. The involvement of the Iscte Business School in this initiative aligns with its mission to co-create societal impact in connection with the community ecosystem.

To carry out this activity, the school received valuable support from ITIC - Iscte Trading & Investment Club, represented in this academic year (2024/2025) by students Diogo Lopes, Francisco Branco, Henrique Reis, and Maria Santos. This project was also driven by Professors Ana Simaens and Luciana Barbosa, who actively contributed to engaging the Iscte Business School community. In recognition of the dedication and commitment of this team of students, they were invited to participate in Web Summit 2024, one of the largest technology events in Europe, organised in partnership with Lisbon City Council.
