On November 13, 2024, the Banco de Portugal announced the winners of the prestigious José da Silva Lopes Award, which recognizes the best master’s theses in Economics and Management in Portugal.

Among the finalists was Marco Olim Pires, a student of the Iscte Business School, who presented his thesis as part of the Master’s in Management. His research was acknowledged by the jury as one of the finest studies conducted in Portugal, showcasing the high-quality education and research fostered by our institution.

Marco Olim Pires' thesis was also featured in an official ceremony held at the Museu do Dinheiro in Lisbon. It stood out as the only Management thesis submitted by Iscte Business School to be selected as a finalist for the 2023 and 2024 academic years.

This achievement highlights not only the student’s excellence but also Iscte Business School’s commitment to nurturing highly skilled professionals ready to contribute to economic and organizational development at the highest level.
