Iscte Business School proudly announces that the Master’s thesis titled “Exploring determinants of the voluntary adoption of SASB Standards by firms that adhered to GRI”, authored by António Carvalho and supervised by Professor Ana Lopes, has been awarded the Best MSc Thesis Award in Financial Accounting at the ICAFI 2025 – International Conference on Accounting and Finance Innovation.

The conference, held virtually on July 14–15, 2025, brought together scholars and professionals from around the world to discuss innovation in the fields of Accounting and Finance. This prestigious award highlights not only the scientific rigor and relevance of António Carvalho’s research but also its contribution to contemporary challenges in corporate sustainability, particularly regarding the voluntary adoption of SASB Standards by companies already committed to GRI frameworks.
