Topics covered will include the challenges faced, funding difficulties and unexpected obstacles along the way. As well as providing inspiration, the talk will also offer practical tips on how to thrive in a competitive and dynamic environment and encourage young people to explore their entrepreneurial potential.

The 2nd edition of Venture Week will once again feature the Conference on Entrepreneurship in Lusophone Africa. This year's event, entitled "What is most urgent to do?", will be a unique opportunity to bring together entrepreneurs and academics to explore the main needs and challenges facing entrepreneurs in the region, identify the most critical areas requiring immediate action, and discuss the most innovative solutions to promote sustainable and inclusive growth. In Lusophone Africa, where socio-economic and cultural realities vary widely, it is crucial to understand what needs to be done urgently to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and create an environment conducive to innovation.
The panel will be moderated by Professor Renato Pereira, Associate Dean for Internationalisation and Research at Iscte Business School, and will include the following guests:
- Cheila Gomes - CEO and Creative Director of MariaRuby (Mozambique)
- Dembo Mané Nanque - Agricultural entrepreneur and CEO of Mané Nanque Piscicultural (Guinea-Bissau)
- Gildo Cossa - Consultant and co-developer of the Business Practices and Entrepreneurship System (Mozambique)
- Ronaldo Pitta Grós - Co-founder of the online consultancy platform ABC do Empreendedor (Angola)
- Ronny Felipe - Founder of the Music, Medical Sciences and Technology Workshop (Mozambique)
This conference will also feature Professor Vasco Martins, from Iscte's School of Sociology and Public Policy, who will bring an academic perspective on the impact of entrepreneurship on the development of African Lusophone countries and the role of innovation in tackling the region's social and economic challenges.
This event, which will take place at the JJ Laginha Auditorium, is free to attend, but registration is required.
