Research Project Seminar in International Management
Holding two PhD degrees and two Habilitation titles, Renato Pereira specialized in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, International Business Management, and in Economic Development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Former resident-student at Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the private foundation in charge of managing the international campus of the French capital city, elected by a college representing 5,000+ voters from 150+ nationalities.
He has worked for different companies of the ICT cluster, including Outsystems, one of the initial Portuguese unicorns.
As Director of Inteli - Innovation Center, he has integrated the coordination structure of the Mobi.E consortium, responsible for the development of the 1st nation-wide network in the world for electric vehicle charging, and the board of directors of SGORME, the network operations management company.
For thirteen consecutive years, he was member of the Supervisory Board of Taguspark, the managing company of one of the biggest and most relevant science and technology facilities in Portugal.
He was Advisor to the Minister of Public Works, Transportation and Communications of the XVIIth and XVIIIth Portuguese Constitutional Governments.
Currently he serves as Director of the Master's in International Management of iscte Business School and as Coordinator of the Research Group in Management; previously has directed the Executive Master in Innovation Management at Iscte Executive Education and several master-level and doctoral-level subjects at both Iscte Business School and School of Sociology and Public Policy.
Previously, he served as Associate Dean for Internationalization and Research at Iscte Business School.
As Associate Professor of Autonomous University of Lisbon, he directed: the PhD program in Business Economics, the Geoeconomics Seminar of the PhD program in International Relations, the MSc program in Business Management, and the BSc program in Management, as well as several subjects from all three levels.
He has been the recipient of different research prizes and other distinctions related with his publications awarded by prestigious members of the scientific community.
He has supervised 5 post-docs, 27 doctorates and over 250 masters.
He has a long and extensive international academic experience, having taken teaching or research visiting positions in higher education institutions from Angola, Brazil, China, Czechia, East-Timor, Finland, France, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, Macao, Mexico, Mozambique, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan.
He is member of the Board of Directors of NIBES - Network of International Business and Economics Schools, in charge of Research.

Ana Isabel Lopes, Ph.D., is a full time Associate Professor (with habilitation) of the Accounting Department at Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL) and integrated member of the researcher center BRU/UNIDE, in Lisbon (Portugal). She has experience in teaching in doctoral and master programs, executive education, and undergraduate programs, engaging in courses related with financial accounting and business reporting, management control in multinationals, and consolidated financial statements. Currently, she is Director of the MSc program in Accounting and she is the Executive Director of the post-graduation in Finance and Accounting Applied. She has an extensive experience in coordinating programs in high education institutions. She also supervises doctoral and master students' dissertations. She is active in presenting conference papers in national and international congresses (by submission or invitation). Her research interests cover international financial accounting and reporting, integrated and sustainability reporting, business combinations, and corporate governance. Ana Isabel has published in leading academic journals such as 'Australian Journal of Management', 'European Business Review', 'Accounting Education', 'Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting', 'Journal of Economics and Business', and 'Meditari Accountancy Research'.

Assistant Professor of Management in the Marketing, Operations, and General Management Department at ISCTE Business School. Holds a BA and MA in Economics, an MSc in Finance, and a PhD in Management with specialization in strategy and entrepreneurship. He has supervised theses in various business areas, including art markets. His research interests include entrepreneurship and business models, art market studies, and management of arts organizations and currently lectures on cultural management and cultural entrepreneurship. He has authored 3 books and published several articles in top journals, including FT-50 journals - an article in the Harvard Business Review and a Digital Article in the MIT Sloan Management Review.
His main areas of interest are General Management, Stakeholders' Management and Negotiation, and Corporate Governance.
Pedro has significant management experience, holding positions in various corporate bodies of large companies, as well as academic management positions.

International Strategy
Shaozhuang Ma is a tenured Associate Professor with a Habilitation in Management at the Business School of Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte-IUL), Portugal. He holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and a Ph.D. in Management from Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. Additionally, he was a visiting scholar at the Business School of the University of Queensland, Australia in the year 2010.
Professor Ma's teaching and research interests encompass Human Resource Development and Management, as well as Strategic Management, with a recent focus on Employee Well-being and Health in the context of a boundaryless workplace. He has contributed to various esteemed publications, including the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Applied Psychology: Health and Well-being, Psychology and Health, Psychology, Health and Medicine, The Chinese Economy, Journal of Health Organization and Management, International Journal of Public Administration, Population & Economics, Journal of Nursing Science, Chinese Hospitals, and Chinese Health Quality Management, among others.
Furthermore, Professor Ma serves as a Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Health Planning and Management and has provided extensive referee services for international journals. Notably, his cases titled "Zhu Dandan (A): Promotions (9B13C002)" and "Zhu Dandan (B): Leadership Development (9B20C025)" were published by Ivey and featured in Harvard Business Review's collection.
Prior to his tenure at Iscte-IUL, Professor Ma held the position of Deputy Dean at the Business School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China. He also served as the Executive Director of the Lingnan MBA Program, a collaborative initiative between Lingnan College at Sun Yat-sen University and the MIT Sloan School of Management in the United States.

Dr. Ulpan Tokkozhina is an Invited Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL with specialization in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She holds a PhD in Management degree with thesis in blockchain technology implementation for supply chain management improvement. Ulpan teaches courses on Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management for both Bachelor and Master degree students. She has co-authored several academic articles and book chapters about the impact of novel technologies on supply chain performance, also won Best Paper Award at EAI INTSYS 2022 International Conference. Ulpan was invited as a guest speaker at an international level - including Mexican University Tecnológico de Monterrey, Molde University of Logistics in Norway and Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Her current main research interest is novel technologies implementation and use in supply chain context. Currently, Ulpan is involved in a research project "Fish2Fork" curated by EEA Grants and Inov Inesc Inovação, which is aimed on finding novel technological solutions for transparent and sustainable fishing and fish products consumption.
