Partnership Between Iscte and Moneris Brings the Students Closer to the Business World

Iscte and Moneris have established a partnership that allows around 25 undergraduate students in Finance and Accounting to apply for internships at Moneris, where they are welcomed and integrated in order to have their first contact with the business world.

Last week, Rui almeida, CEO of Moneris, taught an online class, on the course "Business Project in Accounting", about corporate finance, banking and investment funds, aimed at the third year students of the undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting.

"This type of partnership is an example to be followed. It allows you to capture the best talent and at the same time bring energy and new ideas into the organization", says Rui Almeida.

"The approach of the university to the business world is essential in the learning process, especially in areas of knowledge linked to the business world, such as accounting. The partnership with Moneris, one of the major players in the accounting market, both in terms of curricular internships and in terms of thematic seminars, reinforces this same approach, constituting an undoubted value in the learning process of future professionals in this area" , says José Miguel Rodrigues, assistant professor, and director of the executive master of Control and management and performance at INDEG-Iscte.

The Iscte degree in Finance and Accounting is a three-year course that aims to ensure a global training in Management, with a level of specialization in the areas of accounting and auditing, as well as financial management.
