On October 10, 2024, at 11 a.m., the Nokia Best Student Award 2023/24 ceremony took place at Iscte Business School. The event, celebrating the ongoing partnership between Nokia Portugal and Iscte Business School, was opened by the Dean of the school, Professor Maria João Cortinhal, and Nokia Portugal’s Country Finance Director, Rui Bicho.

In his speech, Rui Bicho emphasized the importance of this partnership, which strengthens the connection between academia and the business world, highlighting Nokia's commitment to collaborating with academia to shape future leaders in finance and management. The event also included the signing of the partnership protocol for the 2024/25 academic year, reaffirming Nokia's active engagement with the academic community.

Among the distinguished guests were Paulo Silva, Nokia Portugal Country People Manager; Antoine Vivon, Nokia Cluster People Manager for Southern Europe; Suleman Qureshi, Head of Credit-to-Cash Digital Transformation; and José Belarmino, Head of Cash Collections Americas, who shared their perspectives on the importance of education and digital transformation.

During the ceremony, the best students in various disciplines were recognized, celebrating their academic excellence and hard work. This year’s award recipients were:

• Corporate Finance: Rodrigo Nuno Matias Constantino
• Advanced Financial Accounting: Diana Neves Costa
• Corporate Financial Strategy: Sara Matias Antunes
• International Financial Reporting and Analysis: Diana Neves Costa
• Management Control for Value Creation: Edna Varela Bernardino
• Data Analytics for Accounting: André Filipe Apolinário Fonseca

The ceremony marks another significant milestone in the collaboration between Nokia and Iscte Business School, an alliance aimed at fostering innovation, knowledge, and professional development among students.
