Iscte Business School (IBS) once again reaffirms its position as a leading institution in responsible management education, having been selected as one of the two Portuguese Business Schools to join the new PRME Champions 2026–2027 cohort, an initiative of the United Nations dedicated to promoting sustainability, social responsibility and ethical leadership in management education.
The PRME Champions programme recognises Business Schools with a strong and proven commitment to integrating the principles of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across teaching, research and engagement with society.
Over the next two years, the new PRME Champions cohort will work on self-selected focus areas, defined through an initial period of collective reflection and inquiry, with the aim of advancing the PRME principles and the SDGs through sustained commitments to community development and innovation in education. Participating institutions will continue to advance the Champions’ mission by collaborating actively to overcome shared challenges and to generate value for both business and society.
This work will be carried out through active participation in a range of initiatives, with PRME Champions playing a central role in thought leadership within the PRME community. Through deep engagement in specific thematic areas and cross-institutional collaboration, the Champions make a decisive contribution to PRME’s strategic objectives and to the strengthening of responsible management education at a global level, in alignment with the vision of the United Nations Global Compact and the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The PRME Champions programme provides a unique collaborative space where institutional leaders and faculty can co-create, test and scale transformative ideas, redefining the contribution of management education to sustainable development. This new cycle is expected to build on meaningful projects, inspire new initiatives and deliver high-impact outcomes.
