BIC - Business and Intercultural Communication Master Elective

The Business and Intercultural Communication (BIC) course is a second semester free elective course which students from master level may choose. During two weeks students visit a country and attend classes at reputed universities, to learn about local customs and business practices through hands-on experiences. During the past years the programme took place in countries such as India, Japan, Russia and Southeast Asia.

Application Process


The application process involves forms provided in the classroom by the programme manager, in collaboration with various professors from the Iscte Business School.

Following this, there is an "Info Session" where students receive detailed information about the programme and have the opportunity to register (22nd October 2024).

Applications for the 2024/2025 academic year are now closed.

Cost


The cost will be around 900€.

This amount includes all cost related to the study trip, such as: flight tickets, insurance, some meals. Except for personal expenses such as souvenirs.
ISCTE Business School will cover the costs associated with the academic programme to be paid to the host universities, as well as the accommodation, which will be provided on the IMTD campus

Withdrawal


No refunds will be given in the event of a cancellation, unless a replacement can be found and airline tickets and other bookings can be changed.


Credits


Successful participation allows students to gain approval in one free elective of their Master.

In case of selection, participants will be automatically enrolled by the services on the elective Business and Intercultural Communication.

   

To obtain the credits, the students should:

> Do the pre-departure homework;

> Take part in the scheduled classes and pass the short written tests at the host universities;

> Reply to the final questionnaire;

> Prepare one report with maximum 10 pages and one group video project with duration of around 5 minutes.
