Supply Chain Management | Operations Management in Service
Ana Lúcia Martins is an Associate Professor at ISCTE-IUL and an integrated researcher at BRU-Iscte (Business Research Unit). She holds a PhD in Management, with a specialization in Operations Management and Technology, and an MSc in Management, with a specialization in Strategy. She currently serves as co-director of the Master in Humanitarian Action, and in the past served as director of the bachelor's degree in Industrial Management and Logistics. Ana served Iscte Business School for 6.5 years as Vice-Dean for Teaching an dInnovation. Ana teaches Operations Management, Logistics Management, Service Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management. Ana authored more than 85 scientific articles. Ana publishes in scientific journals such as the International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Public Money and Management, among others. She has authored book chapters in logistics management and lean management in the justice systems. Her current main research topics are operations management in humanitarian settings, logistics management, supply chain management, and lean management in the services area, mainly in judicial and healthcare systems. Ana is involved in several european projects, contributing in the areas of operations management and assurance of learning activities. Currently Ana serves as AE for Operations Management Research and Electronic Commerce Research.
Technology and Innovation Management
Giovanni Perrone is professor of Business and Management Engineering at the University of Palermo. He is Head of the Department of Engineering at University of Palermo and President of AiIG (the Italian scientific association of business and management engineering scholars). He is also President of Service Innovation Laboratory S.c.r.a.l.. He was President of PNICube (the national Association of University Business Incubators) from 2016-2019, President of the EurOMA (the European Operations Management Association) from June 2016 to June 2019. He is Member of the Steering Committee for the Italian Minister of Research and Education for the program HEInnovate. Furthermore, he was Director of the Engineering Management Degree programme at the University of Palermo from 2005-2011, member of the board of ARCA - the Business Incubator of the University of Palermo from 2008 to 2011 and member of the board of the ISIDA Business School.  Giovanni Perrone teaches “Industrial organization and Strategies and Business Game” and “Technology analysis and Strategic Management” both at the master level of the Business and Management Engineering program at the University of Palermo. He was visiting scholar at MIT (Cambridge - USA), visiting scientist at Aachen Technical University and visiting professor at North Carolina State University. During is carrier Prof. Giovanni Perrone has managed about 4 Million of Euros in research projects at several levels (EU, national research projects, industrial projects). The scientific activity of professor Perrone is focused on Operations and Innovation Management. He holds 72 international journals publications, which are recorded in the Scopus database where he has an h-index of 19 and about 980 citations. He acts as member of the board of editors and reviewer for several international journals.

Henrique O'Neill is Associated Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal. He received his M.Sc. degree from IST/UL in Lisbon and the Ph.D. degree from the Cranfield University, United Kingdom. His research interests are broadly focused on the adoption of information systems and communication technologies to foster business performance, including business, operations and IS/IT strategy, modeling methods and approaches, organizational analysis and processes design, implementation and acceptance, and the quality of information systems in industry sectors like healthcare, banking and finance, the public administration and manufacturing. Operations Management
Dr. Ulpan Tokkozhina is an Invited Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL with specialization in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She holds a PhD in Management degree with thesis in blockchain technology implementation for supply chain management improvement. Ulpan teaches courses on Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management for both Bachelor and Master degree students. She has co-authored several academic articles and book chapters about the impact of novel technologies on supply chain performance, also won Best Paper Award at EAI INTSYS 2022 International Conference. Ulpan was invited as a guest speaker at an international level - including Mexican University Tecnológico de Monterrey, Molde University of Logistics in Norway and Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Her current main research interest is novel technologies implementation and use in supply chain context. Currently, Ulpan is involved in a research project "Fish2Fork" curated by EEA Grants and Inov Inesc Inovação, which is aimed on finding novel technological solutions for transparent and sustainable fishing and fish products consumption.
