Operational Marketing
Filipa Rosado Pinto is an Assistant Professor (Professora Auxiliar) of the Department of Marketing, Operations and General Management at Iscte- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She was previously an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nova SBE. Filipa obtained her PhD in Management (Marketing specialization) at Iscte, in 2022. She also holds an MBA from IE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in management from NOVA SBE. Following ten years of experience in marketing, in multinational companies, from Fast Moving Consumer Goods and the Pharmaceutical Industry, she moved into Academia in 2016.  Filipa´s current research interests include -among others- consumer-brand relationships, brand management and services marketing. Her research has been published in international scientific journals, such as EuroMed Journal of Business, Journal of Promotion Management and International Journal of Hospitality Management. Her work has also been presented at reputable international scientific conferences such as EMAC - European Marketing Academy Conference, GAMMA-GMC (Global Marketing Conference) and EuroMed Academy of Business conference.

Mónica Mendes Ferreira is a Visiting Assistant Professor at ISCTE Business School and a researcher at BRU. She works in the social sciences area(s), emphasising Economics and Management. Her academic background is interdisciplinary, combining a degree in Marketing and Communication, a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Behaviour and Management, and a PhD in Management with a specialisation in Marketing and a focus on Human-Artificial Intelligence Engagement. She has published scientific articles in top journals as a co-author, two book chapters, and proceedings from conferences. Have extensive teaching experience, from a bachelor's in Marketing and Management to different master's and post-degree and Executive Education. At a professional level, over 20 years of experience in various sectors such as FMCG, Mass Media, Advertising Agencies, Associations, and Consulting. Her current research interests include consumer behaviour, digital marketing, social media, branding, communication, tourism marketing and the connections between marketing and VR, AR and AI.

Abel Camelo is currently Project Manager in different projects / companies, mainly related to the implementation of technology, applying the Agile and Waterfall approaches. He also acts as a instructor/trainer, nationally and internationally, in the area of ​​technology, project management, business analysis, industrial production and logistics. Previously he was responsible for Infosistema's Business Consulting unit, where he managed and participated in process improvement projects with Lean Six Sigma, BPM implementation and portals development (in OutSystems and other technologies), business continuity, digital transformation (UX / UI Design), among others. His experience focuses on reengineering and process improvement, business analysis for organizational processes. He has participated in multiple national and international projects, as a consultant and functional analyst, allowing him to identify and implement improvements in clients and to contribute to the increase of the performance of the business processes. From 2011 to 2014 he worked as a consultant in entrepreneurship projects, business plans and investment analysis, guiding future entrepreneurs and promoting entrepreneurship in projects of various sectors of activity. Since 2009 he teaches in higher education, in the areas of operations management, logistics and project management, to undergraduate and master's degrees. He holds a degree in Industrial Management and Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, holds postgraduate degrees in Energy and Bioenergy, in Lean Management and in Information and Enterprise Systems. He is certified in Project Management and Business Analysis by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a IEFP certified trainer, among other professional certifications.

Involved in projects related to applied computing, gamification, technology acceptance, cybercultures, information society, information systems, technologies and education, adolescence, childhood, music, education and learning, suicide prevention, virtual communities, gaming, and social networks. Member of some scientific Associations, such as the Centre for Studies in Suicide and the Portuguese Society of Suicidology. In short, he focuses his work on data science and applied computing in the study of human behaviour in different contexts. He is also the author of many scientific papers, book chapters, and some books, namely, 'Jogos Sérios - A Arte de Gamificar' (Serious Games - The Art of Gamification), ‘O Desafio da Morte’ (The Challenge of Death), Illusions in the Age of Emotions’, or 'O Desafio da Vida' (The Challenge of Life). He has participated in several scientific events and other actions toward the community. He has also participated in radio programs, has always enjoyed playing sports, and advocates a sustainable world and a healthy life, being vegetarian.

Álvaro Rosa is a professor of Management. His areas of research and study are Strategy, Governance and Cross-Cultural Management. In addition, he is also a researcher and teacher of Chinese Studies, namely Contemporary China. Currently, he is the Director of Master Degree in Chinese Studies, a joint program of University of Aveiro and ISCTE - IUL. Professionally, he is a coach and trainer in negotiation techniques.

Florinda Matos holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Organisational Behaviour Studies) awarded by the University of Lisbon. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business Sciences from INDEG/ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, and Bachelor’s degrees in Management of Agricultural Business and in Agronomic Engineering, both awarded by the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. She is Professor at ISCTE Business School – University Institute of Lisbon, where she teaches in the field of management, and serves as an invited professor at international higher education institutions. She is an integrated researcher at DINÂMIA’CET – IUL (Centre for the Study of Socioeconomic Change and the Territory). She is also the founder and coordinator of the CoVE – Future Skills Factory®, a skills laboratory and observatory dedicated to the analysis, anticipation and development of skills for a digital and sustainable future. The initiative aims to support public policies, as well as the education and qualification system, by contributing to the identification and development of competencies aligned with the needs of an innovative, inclusive and sustainable economy. Her research activity is structured around knowledge management, intellectual capital management, measurement of intangibles, sustainability, innovation, additive manufacturing and digital transformation. She undertook postdoctoral research at NOVA.id.FCT, addressing the social impacts of additive manufacturing. She coordinated the national research project KM3D – Knowledge Management in Additive Manufacturing: Designing New Business Models, funded by FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and implemented within a national research consortium. She serves as national coordinator of the European projects CATALYST – European VET Excellence for Leading Sustainable Systems and Business Transformation (Erasmus+) and CERERE – CEreals REsiliency REvolution for Agile Supply Chain Management in the Mediterranean (PRIMA Programme). She also acts as Coordinating Researcher in the project INITIATE – Supporting European R&I through Stakeholder Collaboration and Institutional Reform (Erasmus+). Her academic contributions include membership of scientific committees of international conferences, where she has undertaken the roles of organiser, speaker, mini-track chair and reviewer, as well as Conference Chair of several international academic conferences. She is also Chair of the Global Forum of Intellectual Capital (GFIC). Her scholarly output comprises more than 50 academic publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, books and book chapters. In parallel with her academic activity, she has contributed to public discourse through the publication of more than 200 opinion articles addressing economic and social issues and through participation in podcasts. She currently holds the position of Associate Editor in Economics and Business at Heliyon (Elsevier) and serves as Guest Editor for Springer Nature. She coordinates the thematic line Digital Transformation at the Sociodigital Lab for Public Policy. With recognised expertise in intellectual capital management, she is the founder and president of the Intellectual Capital Association (ICAA), whose mission is the valorisation of intellectual capital in support of sustainable development. She also serves as Portuguese Ambassador of the New Club of Paris and as European Ambassador of the International Conference on Knowledge and Innovation (CIKI), organised by the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. In addition, she is a member of the Observatory on Knowledge Management and Innovation in Public Administration at IPEA – Institute for Applied Economic Research of the Brazilian Government.

João Guerreiro, PhD Marketing (ISCTE-IUL, Portugal), Associate Professor of Marketing with Habilitation and integrated researcher at BRU-IUL. Research interests focused in the area of ​​Consumer Behavior and Relationship Marketing, namely in the implications of technologies (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, IoT) for Marketing, with published articles in several scientific journals such as Tourism Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Business Ethics among others. Luís Miguel Clemente Casinhas is Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and an Integrated Researcher at BRU-IUL. He holds a BSc in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics and completed his MSc and PhD in Economics at ISCTE-IUL as a recipient of a competitive doctoral fellowship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He began his academic career in 2019 at ISCTE-IUL, teaching in both the Departments of Economics and Political Economy. He has also taught at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management, and was part of the teaching team that developed the Executive Education Short Program in Financial Markets at AESE Business School. His research focuses on inequality, housing markets, and public policy evaluation, combining large-scale microdata with advanced econometric and machine learning methods. He has published in leading Q1 international journals, including Review of Income and Wealth, Social Indicators Research, British Journal of Sociology, and Real Estate Economics, and is a member of the World Elite Database (WED). His research has contributed to national public debate, received coverage in major Portuguese and international media outlets, and informed expert opinions submitted to the Portuguese Parliament.

Marjan S. Jalali is Associate Professor at the ISCTE Business School of the University Institute of Lisbon, and researcher at the Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL). She holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford; a MA in Organisation Studies from the university of Warwick; and a PhD in Management from the University of Sydney. First as Lawyer and after as jurisconsult Pedro Quartin Graça has large experience on providing preemptive legal support in legal areas as advertising law, corporate law and law of the sea. He is a consultant in Corporate and Company Law, Environmental Law and Law of the Sea as well as in Advertising, Consumer and Intellectual Property Law. Assistant Professor at ISCTE - IUL (Portugal) and former President of the 1st Section of the Jury of Ethics of the Advertising Selfregulation (former ICAP - Portugal). Pedro Quartin Graça has a large number of books and academic publications in Portuguese, German and Chinese concerning advertising law, law of the sea, european law and consumer law. Pedro Quartin Graça has a wide international experience, namely concerning the relations with Africa, Asia and Central America countries. He teached law at the Chinese Academy of Governance (former China National School of Administration - CNSA), China - Europe Public Administration Project, People's Republic of China, at the Global Distance Learning Network of World Bank for East Timor and at the ProPALOP-TL ISC PNUD postgraduation in Angola. Vânia Patrício has a PhD in Business Administration and Management from ISCTE. She is founding partner at Winning Scientific Management. She is an invited professor at ISCTE Business School and also at ISCTE Executive Education in the Management Control and Performance Program and Project Management & Programs. She has a degree in Corporate Communication from Escola Superior de Comunicação Social de Lisboa. Later she did a post-graduation in Marketing and Commercial Management of Financial Services at Instituto Superior de Gestão Bancária de Lisboa and a post-graduation in Project Management by the Instituto Superior Bissaya Barreto de Coimbra. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from PMI® and a Certified ROI Professional certification from ROI Institute. She is an International Coaching Certified approved by the ICF and Practitioner in PNL. She has several indexed scientific publications, having published in leading journals such as International Journal of Business Innovation and Research, Journal of Open Innovation and International Journal of Agile Systems and Management. Vânia Patrício has oriented and advised several Master's students. She is a specialist in project management, change management, high performance teams, leadership, emotional intelligence, cognitive flexibility and dynamic capabilities. Throughout her professional experience she has been responsible for business development and the supervision and coordination of several commercial, business analysis and project management teams, ensuring performance, delivery and quality of execution, as well as customer relationship and satisfaction in service delivery. He has managed a team of several trainers and consultants, and has been responsible for the design, development and execution of courses and projects in technical and behavioral areas, proving his experience through more than 10,000 hours of teaching. Currently she is responsible for technical innovation, development and quality assurance of the execution of services provided in the utilities, transport & logistics, retail and telecommunications sectors.
