Logistics and Operation Management
Ana Lúcia Martins is an Associate Professor at ISCTE-IUL and an integrated researcher at BRU-Iscte (Business Research Unit). She holds a PhD in Management, with a specialization in Operations Management and Technology, and an MSc in Management, with a specialization in Strategy. She currently serves as co-director of the Master in Humanitarian Action, and in the past served as director of the bachelor's degree in Industrial Management and Logistics. Ana served Iscte Business School for 6.5 years as Vice-Dean for Teaching an dInnovation. Ana teaches Operations Management, Logistics Management, Service Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management. Ana authored more than 85 scientific articles. Ana publishes in scientific journals such as the International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Public Money and Management, among others. She has authored book chapters in logistics management and lean management in the justice systems. Her current main research topics are operations management in humanitarian settings, logistics management, supply chain management, and lean management in the services area, mainly in judicial and healthcare systems. Ana is involved in several european projects, contributing in the areas of operations management and assurance of learning activities. Currently Ana serves as AE for Operations Management Research and Electronic Commerce Research.
Logistics and Operation Management
Dr. Ulpan Tokkozhina is an Invited Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL with specialization in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She holds a PhD in Management degree with thesis in blockchain technology implementation for supply chain management improvement. Ulpan teaches courses on Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management for both Bachelor and Master degree students. She has co-authored several academic articles and book chapters about the impact of novel technologies on supply chain performance, also won Best Paper Award at EAI INTSYS 2022 International Conference. Ulpan was invited as a guest speaker at an international level - including Mexican University Tecnológico de Monterrey, Molde University of Logistics in Norway and Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Her current main research interest is novel technologies implementation and use in supply chain context. Currently, Ulpan is involved in a research project "Fish2Fork" curated by EEA Grants and Inov Inesc Inovação, which is aimed on finding novel technological solutions for transparent and sustainable fishing and fish products consumption.

Pedro is a co-Diretor of ISCTE Executive Education's Executive MBA, Director of the MScBA, and Deputy Director of the Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL) of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), where he is an Integrated Member. He has authored 3 books and published several articles in top journals, including FT-50 journals - an article in the Harvard Business Review and a Digital Article in the MIT Sloan Management Review.  His main areas of interest are General Management, Stakeholders' Management and Negotiation, and Corporate Governance. Pedro has significant management experience, holding positions in various corporate bodies of large companies, as well as academic management positions. Pedro has high teaching experience at various levels of education, with very good performance evaluations.
Strategic Management and Control
Alexandra MILICI is a Senior Technical Program Manager at the multinational corporation OLX. She is also an invited lecturer and a PhD candidate in Management at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal. She holds a Master’s degree in Management (awarded in 2020) from ISCTE Business School, Portugal, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (awarded in 2018) from ISCSP – University of Lisbon, Portugal. She was awarded 2nd place in the 2011 Edition of the ISCTE-IUL Investment Game. With a comprehensive background in both the public and private sectors, she leverages her expertise to offer strategic consultancy services to national and international companies and organizations, enabling them to navigate complex environments and thrive. Alexandra’s professional journey also includes providing business financial support at Air Liquide, where she supported the Nordics Team, developed and improved financial processes, and analyzed performance indicators. Additionally, she served as a business support analyst at Reloading, excelling in process development and improvement, process audits, and research methodologies. Alexandra’s earlier experience at Steam – Smart Business Services honed her skills in process development, audit, and performance analysis, as well as providing general office administrative services and technical support to management and accounting teams. Alexandra is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Romanian (mother language). She has successfully supervised several Master’s dissertations and has published in premier international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3) and Technological and Economic Development of the Economy (WoS Q1). Her research interests include strategy and corporate development, open innovation, technology management, and decision support systems.

Daniela Langaro is assistant professor at ISCTE-IUL (Portugal), visiting professor at Catolica Lisbon (Portugal) and collaborated for 5 years with Vlerick Business School (Belgium). Following her 15 years of experience in marketing in companies from Consumer Packaged Goods (Unilever, Procter and Gamble and Danone) and OTC (Angelini Farmacêutica), Langaro moved to academia in 2012. Her general research interests involve issues in internet marketing, social media, brand communications and brand management.

In 2009, he was awarded a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation fellowship for post-doctoral studies at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). His academic journey includes visiting scholar collaborations at several international institutions, such as the University of Memphis (TN, USA), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China), Häme University of Applied Sciences (Hämeenlinna, Finland), Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia), Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (CHIH, Mexico), University of Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Central College of Commerce (Scotland). Currently, he serves as Full Professor of Strategy and Decision Analysis at ISCTE Business School, University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal), where he coordinates the PhD program specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and directs the Executive Master in Management (for non-Business Administration graduates). Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). Fernando has authored books, book chapters, +180 peer-reviewed papers, and has made +200 conference presentations. He has also delivered keynote and invited speeches at conferences worldwide, including in Albania, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Spain and South Korea. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research (ABS 4), Annals of Operations Research (ABS 3), Energy Economics (ABS 3), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3), Journal of Business Research (ABS 3), Journal of Small Business Management (ABS 3), Journal of the Operational Research Society (ABS 3), R&D Management (ABS 3), Technological Forecasting & Social Change (ABS 3), and Technovation (ABS 3). He also serves as Associate Editor and/or Editorial Board Member for several international journals. In terms of practical experience, Fernando is a Senior Manager at Montis West Corporation (TN, USA) and has +25 years of experience as a group facilitator. He has provided consultancy services and/or executive education to both private and public-sector organizations. Some of the notable entities he has collaborated with include Caixa Geral de Depósitos (Portuguese state-owned banking corporation), Fidelidade Insurance Company (market leader in Portugal), Infraestruturas de Portugal (Portugal’s rail and road infrastructure manager), Metropolitano de Lisboa (state-owned metro company), Amplexor/Acolad (global leader in digital services), and PERI Brazil (one of the largest providers of formwork and scaffolding solutions in Latin America). He has also served as evaluator for numerous international projects funded by both European and non-European research bodies, including the Dutch Research Council (NWO) in the Netherlands, the National Science Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Poland, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID) under the Government of Chile. His primary research interests include multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), strategic decision-making, and integrated systems for performance measurement, with a particular focus on the banking and real estate sectors.

Ethics, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Isabel Duarte de Almeida is an assistant professor with 27 years of experience in higher education and is the coordinator of Research Lines in Sustainable Development. She teaches at ISCTE-IUL, Portugal, and at Universidade Lusíada and participates in academic activities abroad, including at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge, the University of Palermo (UniPa), Sicily, Italy, and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Germany. Isabel Duarte de Almeida holds a 5-year degree in Biology from the University of Lisbon (UL/FC, Portugal) and earned her first PhD in Biology at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science. She also holds a second PhD in Sociology and Sustainability Management from the Nova University of Lisbon (UNL/FCSH, Portugal), a postgraduate degree in Circular Economy from the University of Berkeley, a postgraduate degree in Sociology from UNL, and a Field Epidemiology – Outbreak Investigation course from the National Health Institute Dr. Ricardo Jorge. She was a researcher at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science for 12 years. She has published in Q1 and Q2 journals (Scientific SCOPUS index), in peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and acts as a reviewer for AoM and EurOMA conferences and Springer. Her research interests include Sustainable Development, Circular Economy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Sustainability, and Green Supply Chains. Ongoing research projects:   Project I: The EM@IPLeiria project from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria aims to address the challenges of the digital and green transition in the Leiria and Oeste regions, promoting deeper cooperation between education, research, companies, and society. Focused on transforming academic knowledge into regional value, the Mission Structure (launched in March 2023) brings together key actors from the region to, in a participatory way, drive strategic and operational development, promoting resilience, sustainability, and the creation of wealth in the local ecosystem. Project II: INOVMINERAL 4.0 - Advanced Technologies and Software for Mineral Resources. The main objective of this project is to redirect innovative industrial models for the extractive industry, developing advanced technologies, new products, and software for the entire value chain: upstream processes, mineral resource valorisation, and market. The project has a strong focus on the Circular Economy. Project III: Business students’ perceptions of ethics and sustainability in business. This research area explores business students’ perceptions of corporate ethics and sustainability management.

José Dias Curto is full professor at Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL Business School, Quantitative Methods Departament) and investigator at Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL), Lisboa, Portugal. He earned his PhD in Quantitative Methods for Management from the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), MA in Management from Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) and Bachellor's degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia, Portugal. His primary research focuses statistics and econometrics with applications to finance, accounting and economics. Leandro F. Pereira is an Associate Professor of Strategy at ISCTE. He is also CEO and Founder of WINNING Consulting, a consultancy firm with more than 300 employees dedicated to management and technology consultancy. Leandro Pereira has a PhD in Management with a specialisation in Project Management from the University of Salamanca and a degree in Management Informatics from the University of Minho. He has more than 200 indexed scientific publications and more than 10 published books. In 2017, Leandro Pereira received the Best CEO of the Year award from Best Team Leaders and Revista Pessoal, as well as the best student award from the University of Minho in the academic field. Leandro Pereira is the Director of the Executive Master's Degree in Programme and Project Management and the Postgraduate Diploma in Agile Project and Business Management at ISCTE Executive Education. Throughout his career he has supervised dozens of PhD students and several hundred Masters students. He was also founding president of PMI Portugal and the Business Case Institute. Leandro Pereira is an international expert in the areas of Strategy, Project Management, Problem Solving and Benefits Realisation Management.

Ricardo Godinho Bilro is an Assistant Professor with habilitation in Marketing at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. He teaches across Undergraduate, Master’s, Doctoral, and Executive Education programmes. He holds a PhD in Management, with a specialisation in Marketing, from ISCTE Business School and currently serves as Director of the Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degree programme in Tourism, Development and Culture (TourDC). He is a guest lecturer at the University of Glasgow in the UK and the University of Malta within the TourDC programme and has held Visiting Professor appointments at several international institutions, including EM Strasbourg Business School in Strasbourg, France, TH Köln in Cologne, Germany, Laurea University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, and Université Gustave Eiffel in Paris, France. As a researcher at ISCTE’s Business Research Unit, his work focuses on digital transformation, technology adoption, consumer engagement, and services marketing. His research has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Travel Research (ABS 4), Journal of Business Research (ABS 3), Psychology and Marketing (ABS 3), International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (ABS 3), and Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (ABS 2), among others. He regularly presents his research at major international conferences, such as the European Marketing Academy Conference, the World Marketing Congress of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Global Marketing Conference (GAMMA/GFMAC), and the Academy of Marketing Conference. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for several international journals. Ricardo has received several distinctions for his academic and teaching excellence, including the Best Professor Award for the postgraduate programme in Digital Marketing at ISCTE Executive Education in 2022 and 2023, the Best Paper Award at TomiWorld 2017, and the Best Conference Paper Award at GAMMA GFMAC 2019.
