Logística e Operações
Ana Lúcia Martins is an Associate Professor at ISCTE-IUL and an integrated researcher at BRU-Iscte (Business Research Unit). She holds a PhD in Management, with a specialization in Operations Management and Technology, and an MSc in Management, with a specialization in Strategy. She currently serves as co-director of the Master in Humanitarian Action, and in the past served as director of the bachelor's degree in Industrial Management and Logistics. Ana served Iscte Business School for 6.5 years as Vice-Dean for Teaching an dInnovation. Ana teaches Operations Management, Logistics Management, Service Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management. Ana authored more than 85 scientific articles. Ana publishes in scientific journals such as the International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Public Money and Management, among others. She has authored book chapters in logistics management and lean management in the justice systems. Her current main research topics are operations management in humanitarian settings, logistics management, supply chain management, and lean management in the services area, mainly in judicial and healthcare systems. Ana is involved in several european projects, contributing in the areas of operations management and assurance of learning activities. Currently Ana serves as AE for Operations Management Research and Electronic Commerce Research.

Daniela Langaro is assistant professor at ISCTE-IUL (Portugal), visiting professor at Catolica Lisbon (Portugal) and collaborated for 5 years with Vlerick Business School (Belgium). Following her 15 years of experience in marketing in companies from Consumer Packaged Goods (Unilever, Procter and Gamble and Danone) and OTC (Angelini Farmacêutica), Langaro moved to academia in 2012. Her general research interests involve issues in internet marketing, social media, brand communications and brand management.

Fernando Alberto Freitas FERREIRA holds a PhD in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics and Management from the University of Algarve (Portugal). In 2009, he was awarded a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation fellowship for post-doctoral studies at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). His academic journey includes visiting scholar collaborations at several international institutions, such as the University of Memphis (TN, USA), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China), Häme University of Applied Sciences (Hämeenlinna, Finland), Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia), Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (CHIH, Mexico), University of Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Central College of Commerce (Scotland).
Currently, he serves as Full Professor of Strategy and Decision Analysis at ISCTE Business School, University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal), where he coordinates the PhD program specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and directs the Executive Master in Management (for non-Business Administration graduates). Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis (TN, USA).
Fernando has authored books, book chapters, +180 peer-reviewed papers, and has made +200 conference presentations. He has also delivered keynote and invited speeches at conferences worldwide, including in Albania, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Spain and South Korea. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research (ABS 4), Annals of Operations Research (ABS 3), Energy Economics (ABS 3), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3), Journal of Business Research (ABS 3), Journal of Small Business Management (ABS 3), Journal of the Operational Research Society (ABS 3), R&D Management (ABS 3), Technological Forecasting & Social Change (ABS 3), and Technovation (ABS 3). He also serves as Associate Editor and/or Editorial Board Member for several international journals.
In terms of practical experience, Fernando is a Senior Manager at Montis West Corporation (TN, USA) and has +25 years of experience as a group facilitator. He has provided consultancy services and/or executive education to both private and public-sector organizations. Some of the notable entities he has collaborated with include Caixa Geral de Depósitos (Portuguese state-owned banking corporation), Fidelidade Insurance Company (market leader in Portugal), Infraestruturas de Portugal (Portugal’s rail and road infrastructure manager), Metropolitano de Lisboa (state-owned metro company), Amplexor/Acolad (global leader in digital services), and PERI Brazil (one of the largest providers of formwork and scaffolding solutions in Latin America).
He has also served as evaluator for numerous international projects funded by both European and non-European research bodies, including the Dutch Research Council (NWO) in the Netherlands, the National Science Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Poland, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID) under the Government of Chile. His primary research interests include multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), strategic decision-making, and integrated systems for performance measurement, with a particular focus on the banking and real estate sectors.

Before joining ISCTE-IUL in a full-time position (2005), I've worked as HRM Consultant for 5 years and Marketing Researcher for 10 years. After 2005, I taught several courses in HRM and Applied Research Strategies. I've managed several programs in the HRM field (undergraduate, master and Ph.D. levels). I was the Director of the Human Resource and Organizational Behavior Department for 4 years. More recently I shifted my career to a more research orientation. My research interests are the determinants of organizational performance, organizational identity, and leadership development, especially in highly institutionalized contexts like health care services or public and non-profits.

José Dias Curto is full professor at Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL Business School, Quantitative Methods Departament) and investigator at Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL), Lisboa, Portugal. He earned his PhD in Quantitative Methods for Management from the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), MA in Management from Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) and Bachellor's degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia, Portugal. His primary research focuses statistics and econometrics with applications to finance, accounting and economics. Leandro F. Pereira é Professor Catedrático em Estratégia no ISCTE Business School. É também fundador da WINNING Consulting, uma empresa com mais de 300 colaboradores dedicada à consultoria em gestão e tecnologia. Leandro Pereira é doutorado em Gestão, com especialização em Gestão de Projetos, pela Universidade de Salamanca, e licenciado em Informática de Gestão pela Universidade do Minho. Tem mais de 250 publicações científicas indexadas e 25 livros publicados. Em 2017, recebeu o prémio de Melhor CEO do Ano da Best Team Leaders e da Revista Pessoal, bem como o prémio de Melhor Aluno da Universidade do Minho. É diretor do Mestrado Executivo em Gestão de Programas e Projetos e do Diploma de Pós-Graduação em Gestão Ágil de Projetos e Negócios do ISCTE Executive Education. Ao longo da sua carreira, orientou dezenas de estudantes de doutoramento e várias centenas de estudantes de mestrado. Foi também presidente fundador do PMI Portugal e do Business Case Institute. Luisa Martinez é Investigadora Auxiliar na Business Research Unit (BRU‑ISCTE), ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, e Professora Auxiliar convidada na Católica Lisbon Business & Economics. É também cofundadora da 'Escola da Cor'/'School of Color', a primeira instituição portuguesa totalmente dedicada ao ensino e consultoria em cor. Entre 2022 e 2025, desempenhou funções como Presidente da Associação Portuguesa da Cor. Foi ainda Professora Adjunta no IPAM Lisboa entre 2019 e 2025.
É doutorada em Gestão (U. Europeia), possui uma Pós‑graduação em Gestão (Nova SBE), um Mestrado em Cor na Arquitetura (U. Lisboa) e uma Licenciatura em Arquitetura (U. Lusíada). Os seus interesses de investigação incluem a influência da cor e da sensibilidade sensorial no comportamento organizacional e do consumidor. Mais especificamente, explora temas como retalho, packaging, marketing digital, bem‑estar e o traço de Pessoa Altamente Sensível (PAS) aplicado ao marketing.
A sua investigação adota uma abordagem interdisciplinar, integrando áreas como gestão, marketing, design, psicologia e educação. O seu trabalho tem sido publicado em revistas académicas indexadas e peer‑reviewed, como Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Electronic Commerce Research, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications e Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal.
Estratégia, Planeamento e Controlo
Margarida SANTOS is a Research Assistant and a PhD Candidate in Management at the Business Research Unit (BRU) of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal. She holds a Master's degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, both from ISCTE-IUL, Portugal. Adept at leveraging analytical skills and innovative thinking to address complex research questions, Margarida plays an integral role in prestigious European-funded projects, such as the IMAFUSA project, part of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, which received nearly €1,000,000 in funding from the European Commission. She is proficient in cutting-edge research, data analysis and project management, and has a strong record of interdisciplinary collaboration. Her research interests include drone technology, governance and its societal implications, strategy and corporate development, technology management and decision-support systems. Her work has been published in leading international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3), Technological Forecasting and Social Change (ABS 3), International Journal of Strategic Property Management (ABS 2), Management Decision (ABS 2) and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences (ABS 2). She has presented her research at international conferences. She also participates as a reviewer at international journals.
Ética, Responsabilidade e Sustentabilidade Empresarial
Marjan S. Jalali is Associate Professor at the ISCTE Business School of the University Institute of Lisbon, and researcher at the Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL). She holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford; a MA in Organisation Studies from the university of Warwick; and a PhD in Management from the University of Sydney. Some of her works have been published nationally and internationally, in journals such as the Journal of Business Research and the International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making. Her research interests include CSR and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, social marketing, consumer ethics, and strategy.

Dr. Ulpan Tokkozhina is an Invited Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL with specialization in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She holds a PhD in Management degree with thesis in blockchain technology implementation for supply chain management improvement. Ulpan teaches courses on Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management for both Bachelor and Master degree students. She has co-authored several academic articles and book chapters about the impact of novel technologies on supply chain performance, also won Best Paper Award at EAI INTSYS 2022 International Conference. Ulpan was invited as a guest speaker at an international level - including Mexican University Tecnológico de Monterrey, Molde University of Logistics in Norway and Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Her current main research interest is novel technologies implementation and use in supply chain context. Currently, Ulpan is involved in a research project "Fish2Fork" curated by EEA Grants and Inov Inesc Inovação, which is aimed on finding novel technological solutions for transparent and sustainable fishing and fish products consumption.
