Logística e Operações
Abel Camelo colabora atualmente em diferentes projetos / empresas como Gestor de Projetos, principalmente relacionados à implementação de tecnologia, aplicando as abordagens Agile e Waterfall.  Igualmente atua como formador, a nível nacional e internacional, na área da tecnologia, gestão de projetos, análise de negócio, produção industrial e logística. Anteriormente, foi responsável pela unidade de Consultoria de Negócio da Infosistema, onde geriu e participou em projetos de melhoria de processos com Lean Seis Sigma, implementação de BPM e desenvolvimento de portais (em OutSystems e outras tecnologias), continuidade de negócios, transformação digital (UX / UI), entre outros. A sua experiência centra-se em reengenharia e melhoria de processos, análise de negócio e processos organizacionais. Participou em múltiplos projetos nacionais e internacionais, como consultor e analista funcional, permitindo identificar e implementar melhorias em clientes e contribuir para o aumento da performance dos processos de negócio. De 2011 a 2014 atuou como consultor em projetos de empreendedorismo, planos de negócio e análise de investimento, orientando futuros empreendedores e promovendo o espírito de iniciativa de natureza empresarial, em projetos de diversos sectores de atividade. Desde 2009 leciona no ensino superior, nas áreas da gestão de operações, logística e gestão de projetos, a licenciaturas e mestrados.  É licenciado em Gestão e Engenharia Industrial e Mestre em Business Administration pelo ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, detém pós graduações em Energia e Bioenergia, em Lean Management e em Informação e Sistemas Empresariais. É certificado em Gestão de Projetos e Business Analysis pelo Project Management Institute (PMI) bem como formador certificado pelo IEFP entre outras certificações profissionais.

Álvaro Rosa is a professor of Management. His areas of research and study are Strategy, Governance and Cross-Cultural Management. In addition, he is also a researcher and teacher of Chinese Studies, namely Contemporary China. Currently, he is the Director of Master Degree in Chinese Studies, a joint program of University of Aveiro and ISCTE - IUL. Professionally, he is a coach and trainer in negotiation techniques.

In 2009, he was awarded a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation fellowship for post-doctoral studies at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). His academic journey includes visiting scholar collaborations at several international institutions, such as the University of Memphis (TN, USA), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China), Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (CHIH, Mexico), University of Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Central College of Commerce (Scotland). Currently, he serves as Full Professor of Strategy and Decision Analysis at ISCTE Business School, University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal), where he coordinates the PhD program specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and directs the Executive Master in Management (for non-Business Administration graduates). Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). Fernando has authored books, book chapters, +170 peer-reviewed papers, and has made +200 conference presentations. He has also delivered keynote and invited speeches at conferences worldwide, including in Albania, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Spain and South Korea. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research (ABS 4), Annals of Operations Research (ABS 3), Energy Economics (ABS 3), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3), Journal of Business Research (ABS 3), Journal of Small Business Management (ABS 3), Journal of the Operational Research Society (ABS 3), R&D Management (ABS 3), and Technological Forecasting & Social Change (ABS 3). He also serves as Associate Editor and/or Editorial Board Member for several international journals.  In terms of practical experience, Fernando is a Senior Manager at Montis West Corporation (TN, USA) and has +25 years of experience as a group facilitator. He has provided consultancy services and/or executive education to both private and public-sector organizations. Some of the notable entities he has collaborated with include Caixa Geral de Depósitos (Portuguese state-owned banking corporation), Fidelidade Insurance Company (market leader in Portugal), Infraestruturas de Portugal (Portugal’s rail and road infrastructure manager), Metropolitano de Lisboa (state-owned metro company), Amplexor/Acolad (global leader in digital services), and PERI Brazil (one of the largest providers of formwork and scaffolding solutions in Latin America). He has also served as evaluator for numerous international projects funded by European research bodies, including the Dutch Research Council (NWO) in the Netherlands, and the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia. His primary research interests include multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), strategic decision-making, and integrated systems for performance measurement, with a particular focus on the banking and real estate sectors.

Pedro é co-Diretor do Executive MBA do ISCTE Executive Education. É Membro Integrado da Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL) do Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), tendo já publicado 3 livros e também tem diversos artigos publicados em várias revistas de topo, incluindo na Harvard Business Review.  As suas principais áreas de interesse são a Gestão Geral, a Negociação e gestão de Stakeholders e Corporate Governance. Pedro tem uma experiência de gestão significativa, tendo cargos em vários órgãos sociais de grandes empresas, assim como cargos de gestão académica. Pedro tem elevada experiência de ensino aos vários níveis de ensino, com muito boas avaliações de desempenho.

Álvaro Dias, professor associado com agregação no iSCTE-IUL, é docente desde 1995, especializado em Turismo, Marketing e Empreendedorismo. Para além da docência, tem sido consultor de diversas entidades, nomeadamente Ministério da Economia, IAPMEI, AIP, AEP, AERLIS, GNR, ACT, CCP, Turismo de Portugal e inúmeras empresas privadas. É detentor de dois doutoramentos, ambos com distinção (cum laude) - um em Gestão com especialização em Marketing e outro em Turismo. Possui ainda um mestrado em Estratégia, um MBA, uma licenciatura em Gestão e uma pós-graduação em E-business. Álvaro liderou o departamento de Ciências Económicas e Empresariais da UAL, dirigiu os programas de Mestrado e Licenciatura em Marketing e co-dirigiu a Licenciatura em Gestão no ISG. Coordenou também o Mestrado em Gestão de Destinos Turísticos na Universidade Lusófona. Como autor, escreveu 26 livros e publicou mais de 240 artigos indexados na Scopus. Em reconhecimento dos seus contributos, recebeu a Medalha de Mérito da GNR D. Nuno Álvares Pereira e um diploma de Louvor em 2022. Foi distinguido com o prémio de investigação da Cátedra de Turismo Inteligente da Junta de Andaluzia e da Universidade de Sevilha em 2021, seguido do prémio extraordinário de investigação da Universidade de Sevilha em 2023. O seu artigo em coautoria, “Entrepreneurship's Role on Dynamic Capabilities: A Longitudinal Study on Brazilian and Portuguese Firms”, foi nomeado para o Prémio de Melhor Artigo na Conferência Especial da Strategic Management Society em 2011. Álvaro orientou duas bolsas de pós-doutoramento, 16 doutorandos e 247 alunos de mestrado. A sua experiência internacional de ensino e investigação inclui países como Angola, Brasil, Bolívia, México, Peru, Colômbia, Espanha, Polónia, Roménia e Finlândia.

Alexandra MILICI is a Product Operations Specialist at the multinational corporation OLX. She is also an invited lecturer and a PhD candidate in Management at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal. She holds a Master’s degree in Management (awarded in 2020) from ISCTE Business School, Portugal, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (awarded in 2018) from ISCSP – University of Lisbon, Portugal. She was awarded 2nd place in the 2011 Edition of the ISCTE-IUL Investment Game. With a comprehensive background in both the public and private sectors, she leverages her expertise to offer strategic consultancy services to national and international companies and organizations, enabling them to navigate complex environments and thrive. Alexandra’s professional journey also includes providing business financial support at Air Liquide, where she supported the Nordics Team, developed and improved financial processes, and analyzed performance indicators. Additionally, she served as a business support analyst at Reloading, excelling in process development and improvement, process audits, and research methodologies. Alexandra’s earlier experience at Steam – Smart Business Services honed her skills in process development, audit, and performance analysis, as well as providing general office administrative services and technical support to management and accounting teams. Alexandra is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Romanian (mother language). She has successfully supervised several Master’s dissertations and has published in premier international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3) and Technological and Economic Development of the Economy (WoS Q1). Her research interests include strategy and corporate development, open innovation, technology management, and decision support systems.

Daniela Langaro is assistant professor at ISCTE-IUL (Portugal), visiting professor at Catolica Lisbon (Portugal) and collaborated for 5 years with Vlerick Business School (Belgium). Following her 15 years of experience in marketing in companies from Consumer Packaged Goods (Unilever, Procter and Gamble and Danone) and OTC (Angelini Farmacêutica), Langaro moved to academia in 2012. Her general research interests involve issues in internet marketing, social media, brand communications and brand management.

Florinda Matos is PhD in Social Sciences, Organisational Behaviour Studies, by the University of Lisbon. She has a master’s degree in Business Sciences from INDEG/ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Agricultural Business, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomic Engineering, both by the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. She is a Professor at ISCTE Business School – University Institute of Lisbon, where she teaches several courses in the areas of management and she is an invited Professor at several international universities. As DINÂMIA'CET – IUL, Centre for the Study of Socioeconomic Change and the Territory integrated researcher, her main research interests are Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital Management, Measuring of Intangibles, Sustainability, Innovation, Additive Manufacturing and Digital Transformation. She was a post-Doc researcher in the Social Impacts of Additive Manufacturing at NOVA.id.FCT and she led the project KM3D - Knowledge Management in Additive Manufacturing: Designing New Business Models, in a national consortium, funded by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. She is currently the national coordinator of the following European Projects: CATALYST - European VET Excellence for Leading Sustainable Systems and Business Transformation (Erasmus+) CERERE - CEreals REsiliency REvolution for agile supply chain management in the Mediterranean (PRIMA Project). Also she is a Coordinating Researcher in the project  INITIATE : Supporting European R&I through stakeholder collaboration and institutional reform (Erasmus +) Florinda is a member of the scientific committee of several international conferences, where she has participated as an organiser, speaker, mini-track chair and reviewer. She has more than 50 published academic articles and scientific papers, chapters, and books. She has also been an active participant in the press, where she has published more than 200 articles of opinion on issues of economic and social actuality, being invited to several podcasts. She was Conference Chair of several international academic conferences. Presently, she is associate editor in the area of Economics and Business at Journal Heliyon (Elsevier) and Guest Editor of Springer International Publishing. She is coordinator of the Thematic Line "Digital Transformation" at the Sociodigital Lab for Public Policy and member of the implementation team of the AI4PA Digital Innovation Hub. As intellectual capital management expert, Florinda is the founder and the president of the Intellectual Capital Association (ICAA), whose mission is to help transform intellectual capital into added value by contributing to sustainable development. Also, she is athe Portuguese ambassador of the New Club of Paris, an international organisation whose main objective is to create awareness about the Knowledge Economy. Also, she is the ambassador for Europe of the International Conference on Knowledge and Innovation (CIKI), organised by Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil). Likewise, she is a member of the Observatory on Knowledge Management and Innovation in Public Administration, from IPEA - Institute for Applied Economic Research of the Brazilian Government.

Before joining ISCTE-IUL in a full-time position (2005), I've worked as HRM Consultant for 5 years and Marketing Researcher for 10 years. After 2005, I taught several courses in HRM and Applied Research Strategies. I've managed several programs in the HRM field (undergraduate, master and Ph.D. levels). I was the Director of the Human Resource and Organizational Behavior Department for 4 years. More recently I shifted my career to a more research orientation. My research interests are the determinants of organizational performance, organizational identity, and leadership development, especially in highly institutionalized contexts like health care services or public and non-profits.
Ética, Responsabilidade e Sustentabilidade Empresarial
Isabel Duarte de Almeida é Professora Assistente com 27 anos de experiência no Ensino Superior, e coordena Linhas de Investigação em Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Leciona no ISCTE-IUL, Portugal, e na Universidade Lusíada, além de participar em atividades académicas internacionais, nomeadamente no Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) da Universidade de Cambridge; na Universidade de Palermo (UniPa), Sicília, Itália; e na Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM), Alemanha. Isabel Duarte de Almeida licenciou-se pela Universidade de Lisboa (UL/FC, Portugal) com uma licenciatura de 5 anos em Biologia e realizou o seu primeiro Doutoramento em Biologia no Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. Concluiu também um segundo Doutoramento em Sociologia e Gestão da Sustentabilidade pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL/FCSH, Portugal), uma pós-graduação em Economia Circular pela Universidade de Berkeley, uma pós-graduação em Sociologia pela UNL e o Curso de Epidemiologia de Campo – Investigação de Surtos, pelo Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge. Trabalhou como investigadora no Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência durante 12 anos. Tem publicações em revistas Q1 e Q2 (indexadas no SCOPUS), em anais de conferências com revisão por pares e atua como revisora para as conferências AoM e EurOMA, bem como para a editora Springer. Os seus principais interesses de investigação incluem Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Economia Circular, Responsabilidade Empresarial e Social, Sustentabilidade Empresarial e Green Supply Chain. Projetos de investigação em curso: Projeto I: O projeto EM@IPLeiria, do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, visa enfrentar os desafios da transição digital e verde nas regiões de Leiria e Oeste, promovendo uma cooperação mais profunda entre ensino, investigação, empresas e sociedade. Focado em transformar o conhecimento universitário em valor regional, a Estrutura de Missão (lançada em Março de 2023) reúne os principais actores da região para, de forma participativa, impulsionar o desenvolvimento estratégico e operacional, promovendo a resiliência, sustentabilidade e criação de riqueza no ecossistema local. Projeto II: INOVMINERAL 4.0 - Tecnologias Avançadas e Software para Recursos Minerais. O objectivo geral deste projecto é reorientar modelos industriais inovadores para a indústria extrativa, desenvolvendo tecnologias avançadas, novos produtos e software para toda a cadeia de valor: processos a montante, valorização dos recursos minerais e mercado. O projecto tem um forte foco na Economia Circular. Projeto III: Percepções dos estudantes de negócios sobre ética e sustentabilidade empresarial. Esta linha de investigação aborda as percepções dos estudantes de gestão relativamente à ética empresarial e à gestão da sustentabilidade.

Margarida SANTOS is a Research Assistant and a PhD Candidate in Management at the Business Research Unit (BRU) of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal. She holds a Master's degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, both from ISCTE-IUL, Portugal. Adept at leveraging analytical skills and innovative thinking to address complex research questions, Margarida plays an integral role in prestigious European-funded projects, such as the IMAFUSA project, which is part of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking and received funding from the European Commission amounting to nearly 1,000,000 euros. Proficient in conducting cutting-edge research, data analysis, and project management, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, she possesses a keen interest in the emerging field of drone technology, governance, and its societal implications. Her research interests also encompass strategy and corporate development, technology management, and decision-support systems.
